Refugee Status for Persecuted Pakistani Hindus

Refugee Aid Project (RAP) is dedicated to aiding persecuted Pakistani Hindus seeking refuge in India, the closest accessible border for those fleeing targeted religious persecution. We implore the Indian Government to recognize their plight, granting them refugee status.

Having escaped escalating violence and discrimination in Pakistan based on religion, many find themselves in legal limbo upon reaching India, facing severe human rights issues without access to basic amenities. Despite being safe in India, the lack of acknowledgment from the government forces some to return to Pakistan, where they encounter unprecedented levels of religious discrimination.

India, known for sheltering those escaping persecution, should reaffirm its commitment to human rights by extending protection to Pakistani Hindus, similar to support offered to Eeelam Tamils from Sri Lanka and Buddhists from Tibet.

Granting refugee status is both a legal obligation and a humanitarian imperative, ensuring official recognition of the persecution faced by Pakistani Hindus and providing access to fundamental rights.
