Chula Project
What is the issue?
Many refugee families rely on traditional open fires for cooking, which produce harmful smoke and contribute to indoor air pollution. This poses significant health risks, particularly respiratory issues, and affects the overall well-being of individuals. Additionally, these cooking methods are inefficient and environmentally unsustainable, often leading to excessive fuel consumption and deforestation.
What the Initiative Proposes:

The Chula Program aims to address these issues by providing low-cost, smokeless, and fuel-efficient stoves to refugee camps. This transformative initiative not only reduces indoor air pollution and improves respiratory health but also promotes environmental sustainability. By adopting these stoves, refugee families can enjoy a safer, healthier living environment while also conserving fuel and protecting natural resources.
