Bharat Refugee Yatra
On November 5th, 2020, our founder, Kiran Chukkapalli, embarked on a solo motorcycle ride across India, covering over 10,000 kilometers, from Kanyakumari through Gujarat, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, and back to Kanyakumari on January 26th, 2021.

The primary goal of this extraordinary expedition was to connect with refugees residing in various parts of India, to comprehend the full extent of their crisis, to unveil their untold stories, and to deeply understand their pressing issues. Kiran Chukkapalli's profound belief was that "To know, understand, and acknowledge the problem is the first step towards change. Our goal is to focus on the refugees whose suffering rarely makes international headlines."

Encountering refugees from various countries, Kiran's journey spanned 12 states and close toa hundred refugee camps. Witnessing the harsh conditions faced by women and children who sought safety but lacked basic necessities, Kiran was inspired to initiate the Refugee Aid Project (RAP) under Think Peace.
