Vendor Cart

What is the issue?

Many refugee families face significant challenges in rebuilding their lives and achieving economic stability after displacement. Limited employment opportunities and financial constraints force many refugees to rely on borrowed private vendor carts for street vending. A substantial portion of the revenue generated from these vending activities often goes towards rental payments, leaving little for basic needs and financial security. This cycle perpetuates dependency and hinders refugees' ability to achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence.

What the Initiative Proposes:

In response to these challenges, the Vendor Cart Project aims to empower refugee individuals and families by providing them with their own street vending carts. This initiative not only eliminates the burden of rental payments but also enables refugees to earn a sustainable income through street vending. By promoting entrepreneurship and self-reliance, the project seeks to break the cycle of dependency and empower refugees to rebuild their livelihoods with dignity. The Vendor Cart Project is a step towards economic empowerment, fostering resilience and stability among refugee communities.
